Objection Handling
Definition
The process of addressing customer concerns after resistance is expressed.
Why It Matters
Even with strong objection prevention, some customers will still object. Effective objection handling requires understanding the real concern behind the objection and addressing it with empathy and logic.
Examples
- Common objections: "I need to think about it," "That's too expensive," "I'll get it from my credit union"
- Effective responses focus on value, risk, and consequences rather than pressure
