Menu Presentation
Definition
A standardized, compliant format for presenting F&I product options side-by-side.
Why It Matters
Menu presentation is the most effective way to present multiple F&I products. It makes it easy for customers to see the value of complete protection packages and increases PRU.
Examples
- A menu shows 3-4 protection packages (Gold, Silver, Bronze) with different product combinations
- Menu presentation increases PRU by 0.5-1.0 products compared to one-at-a-time selling

Needs Discovery
A structured process used to uncover customer priorities before presenting F&I solutions.
Assumptive Close
A closing method that guides customers to choose between options instead of answering yes or no.
PRU (Products Per Retail Unit)
The average number of F&I products sold per vehicle, calculated by dividing total products sold by total retail units delivered. A PRU of 2.0 means you are selling an average of 2 products per car.
